Your deposit is 30% of the total cost, and will be payable on booking. Payment in full is due 6 weeks before you arrive at Le P’tit Chêne.
We ask for a £300 breakage deposit, which will be returned to you 7 days after your trip, providing no significant damage has been caused to the gîte. The odd broken glass is to be expected!
We understand that sometimes life can throw you a curve ball! If you need to cancel your trip before the six week full payment deadline, we will refund your deposit. Once within the six weeks before arrival, I’m afraid we have to charge the full amount. If we can rent out to another guest in that time frame, then you will receive the full amount back into your account.
All payments are in Euros, please check with your individual bank for the exchange rate at the time of booking.

The summer months can be hot, with temperatures from the mid 20’s to high 30’s during June, July and August…even in September too!
Out of season we have beautiful sunny days that are warm during the day and cooler at night. As Le P’tit Chêne is a new building, the insulation provides a cosy atmosphere in the winter, and a cooler temperature in the summmer.
Please note, we do not have air conditioning in the gite. Fans will be provided in the summer months, and there is a wood burning stove for the autumn and winter. Extra radiators can be provided on request.

Bring your tired brain and look forward to leaving your stress behind!
You need a car here. The nearest supermarkets, bakeries, bars, banks and pharmacies are a 10 minute drive away.
We do not have terrestrial television here, the TV works via internet only. It can be used with fire sticks or casting from a phone or tablet.
The french authorities require you to have a roadside breakdown kit in your car at all times, which includes a high vis vest. If you are hiring a car, remember to ask if that comes as standard. If you are bringing your own car, they are relatively inexpensive to purchase.
To travel to the centre of a lot of French cities now, drivers must have the Crit’Air sticker. If you intend to drive to cities like Toulouse while you are here (1hr15) it’s worth investigating the Crit’Air zones. There are ways to avoid it, which you can find in our gîte guide on site.
We have a small library here (List of titles on request) but if you want to bring a book, you are welcome to leave it here for future guests.

This is a popular area for walking and cycling.
You can walk directly from the gite into woodland and vineyards, and see very few people on your way! Peaceful spring walks will reward you with a great many bird species and wild orchids, while in the summer months the shady forest paths are a welcome respite from the heat.
Cycling can offer you many bastide villages and towns to explore. Steep winding roads give way to great views from these little gems perched on the hillsides, and the rolling countryside with its big skies will invigorate your ride…Try Castelnau Montratier (26 mins 🚲) or Flaugnac (21 mins 🚲) for the most local trips.
By car there are a great many things to do, and you can see our full guide in the gîte for the top attractions in the surrounding area.
